Thor Odinson, or simply Thor, is a fictional character in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. He is played by Chris Hemsworth.

Thor is a royal Asgardian at 1,500 years old,[1] who was next in line to rule, having ascended to the throne after his father died in Thor: Ragnarok. After coming to Earth, he has since become its protector, leading to him joining the Avengers. He has a complicated relationship with his scheming adopted brother, Loki, who wants nothing more than to rule Asgard himself, and he'll do whatever it takes to accomplish his goal.

He welded Mjølnir, a hammer which could channel his powers of lightning and help him fly, until it was crushed by the hand of his estranged, older sister Hela. He then helped forge the Stormbreaker, which he believed could kill Thanos to stop him from using the six Infinity Stones at once to wipe out half the universe's population at the snap of his fingers.
