Samuel[1] "Sam" Wilson, also known as Falcon and Captain America,[2] is a fictional character in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. He is played by Anthony Mackie.
Wilson is a former pararescueman trained by the military in aerial combat, using a specially designed wing pack, with the codename of Falcon. He is also aided by a robotic drone known as Redwing.[3]
Wilson befriended Steve Rogers (Captain America) as he was still adapted to the modern world, proving to be a staunch ally when Hydra revealed that it had infiltrated S.H.I.E.L.D., leading to its downfall.[4]
Wilson was a victim of the Blip created by Thanos using the Infinity Stones,[5] which was eventually undone five years later by Smart Hulk.[6]
His other allies consist of Natasha Romanoff (Black Widow), Nick Fury, Scott Lang (Ant-Man), Bucky Barnes (Winter Soldier), James Rhodes (War Machine), Bucky Barnes (Winter Soldier), Sharon Carter, and Joaquin Torres.
