Ivan Vanko is a fictional character in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. He is played by Mickey Rourke.
Vanko was a Russian who was able to build his own working portable Arc Reactor in revenge against Tony Stark (Iron Man) for his father deporting his own father back to Russia for espionage, then took all the credit for the original Arc Reactor, leaving the Vankos a poor and criminal family.
