Doctor Strange is a 2016 film and the second in the Marvel Cinematic Universe's Phase Three. It was produced by Marvel Studios, and distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures. The film was directed by Scott Derrickson, from a screenplay by himself, Jon Spaihts, and C. Robert Cargill.
It was followed in 2022 with the sequel, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, with a new writer and director.

Briefing[]
Stephen Strange, renowned surgeon, is caught in a near-fatal accident, which ends his career when his hands are crushed, sending him on the long path of rediscovery and into the mystical teachings of the Ancient One. Strange must look beyond the world he has come to know if he is to become a Master of the Mystic Arts and save the world from the dark forces bleeding into the world.
